As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, I am sought out by clinicians who want rigorous, relational guidance for the decisions their work requires.

Why clinicians choose to work with Issy

Supervision shaped by range, judgement, and context.

Approved supervision

AAMFT Approved Supervisor standing, with supervision that connects licensure requirements to the clinician you are becoming.

Breadth across practice

Clinical experience across the lifespan and across individual, couples, family, child, and adolescent work.

Integrated care perspective

A practice perspective shaped by building therapy and psychiatry into one coordinated setting.

Affirming and systemic

An affirming, culturally responsive lens and a relational frame for understanding people, families, teams, and systems.

Supervisory philosophy & approach

A place to bring the whole clinical picture.

My supervisory philosophy is relational, systemic, and rigorous. We slow down clinical decisions enough to ask what is happening in the room, what the client and the system around them may need, and what evidence, theory, culture, power, and ethics require of us.

Complex and high-risk cases call for structure as well as reflection. We clarify risk, assess the limits of the clinician’s role, consider consultation and documentation, and identify the next responsible step. We can examine a treatment plan, a rupture, a stuck moment, or the feeling a client’s story evokes in you without losing sight of safety and accountability.

The aim is not to make a clinician dependent on supervision. It is to develop sound judgement that travels with you: the ability to notice patterns, tolerate uncertainty, make an ethical decision, explain your reasoning, and revise course when new information emerges.

Who it’s for

Who I supervise and consult with

Associates working toward licensure

Structured supervision that connects your day-to-day clinical work with licensure requirements and the larger arc of becoming a confident, ethical therapist.

Licensed clinicians seeking consultation

A thoughtful, confidential space to slow down, work through complexity, and keep developing when a case or season of practice asks for something new.

Group practices and clinical teams

Consultation and group supervision that strengthens shared language, reflective practice, and support for the clinicians doing the work.

Format & experience

Flexible enough for real practice.

I offer individual and group supervision in person in Seattle and virtually across Washington. We can build a rhythm that supports licensure requirements, clinical responsibility, and the reflective work that makes supervision meaningful.

“My goal is to help clinicians hold both rigor and humanity: to know what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and how to stay present while they do it.”
