A note from Issy
Hello, and welcome.
I’m Issy. For two decades, my work has been shaped by clinical practice and training as a marriage and family therapist — with a steady belief that people make more sense when we understand them in context, connection, and relationship.
I founded Counseling Services for Wellbeing so therapy and psychiatry could sit together under one roof, with one intake and one chart. My hope is that care feels more connected and that the people seeking support do not have to carry the work of coordinating it alone.
Alongside my work with individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents, I supervise and develop other clinicians as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. My practice is affirming and culturally responsive with LGBTQ+, BIPOC and neurodivergent clients.

AAMFT Approved Supervisor | Therapist | Speaker | Founder & Clinical Director
Issy Kleiman, MA, LMFT, is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, therapist, speaker and the founder and Clinical Director of Counseling Services for Wellbeing in Seattle, Washington. She supervises associates and licensed clinicians, helping them build thoughtful, ethical, and grounded clinical practice. Her work with individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents is informed by training in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and family systems. Issy brings a trauma-informed, affirming, and culturally responsive approach to care with LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent clients. She built an integrated therapy-and-psychiatry practice model where both services sit under one roof, with one intake and one chart. Through speaking and consultation, she shares practical perspectives on mental health, relationships, and clinical practice with clinicians, teams, and organizations.
A continuing conversation
My story.
I became a therapist because I wanted to do work that makes room for the whole person — the relationships, identities, histories, and systems that shape how we move through the world. After two decades of practice and clinical training, that still feels like the heart of the work. I built Counseling Services for Wellbeing because therapy and psychiatry should be able to sit together under one roof, with one intake and one chart, so care can feel more connected.
